Terms of Service

These terms cover the DeltaVDevs journal, accounts, comments, voting, public API, RSS feeds, and media service, operated by the independent developer publishing as DeltaVortex. Contact contact@deltavdevs.com with questions. Creating an account requires your agreement to these terms and acknowledgment of the Privacy Policy.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required where you live. If local law requires a parent or guardian's permission, obtain it before creating an account. Provide information you are entitled to use, do not impersonate others, and keep your password and recovery code secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.

Email signup does not verify ownership of an address. Keep your recovery code: we cannot promise recovery if you lose access to your credentials and linked providers. Google and GitHub connections can be managed in Account settings; matching emails alone do not link accounts.

Using the journal

Publishing projects, ship posts, and devlogs is reserved for the author. Other accounts can comment, reply, and vote. You must not use the service for illegal activity, threats, harassment, doxxing, spam, impersonation, intellectual property infringement, malware, or sharing private information without permission.

Do not manipulate votes, bypass access controls or rate limits, access another person's account, or deliberately overload or disrupt the website, API, or media service. Automated API use must respect access restrictions and rate limits.

Your contributions

You retain ownership of your original contributions. You give DeltaVDevs a non-exclusive permission to store, format, display, and distribute those contributions as needed to operate the journal and its public interfaces. You must have the rights needed to share text, images, GIFs, and other material you submit. This permission does not give us ownership or a right to sell your work for unrelated purposes.

Comments and replies are public. You can remove your comments or delete your account, subject to the retention details in our Privacy Policy. Other people's replies and copies already obtained by others may remain. Permission to use your content ends when it is removed from the service, except for limited retention described in that policy.

Journal content and software

Website content and software remain the property of their respective owners. Public API or RSS access does not transfer ownership or grant a general right to commercially reuse material. Individual repositories, downloads, posts, and third-party assets may have separate licenses; follow those licenses and attribution requirements.

Moderation and account access

We may remove content or restrict accounts when needed to enforce these terms, address abuse, protect security, or comply with law. We do not promise to review every contribution. To report a problem or appeal a restriction, contact contact@deltavdevs.com with relevant details. You may stop using the service or delete your account from Account settings at any time.

External services and downloads

Linked websites, OAuth providers, GIF services, and downloads may be provided by third parties and governed by their own terms. Review the source, permissions, and license before running software. We cannot guarantee the availability, accuracy, or safety of third-party material.

Availability and responsibility

The journal is provided as available. Features may change or be interrupted, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of anything you need. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties and liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights or liability for fraud or other conduct that the law does not allow us to disclaim.

Changes and questions

Changes will be dated on this page. We will give notice of material changes and request a new agreement where required; your signup record identifies the versions you accepted. Contact contact@deltavdevs.com to raise a concern or try to resolve a dispute. These terms do not impose a mandatory arbitration process or remove protections you have under applicable law.
