—Hello again proggers—

7.0.0's done and going out as this gets typed. Last devlog before v7 LTS, which means Mac finally gets it, yay. Real milestone round: shared play, the bot, and everything sync-related got a full overhaul, capsules moved to GPU-reliant rendering, and CHASER is in the process of packing now that GIRL HELL 1999's finished.

v1 was WinForms and a dream, v7 is Avalonia and an actual plan, what a ride

Cat or dog? v7.0.0-lts

Okay let's get into it~

—Yap—

The biggest release this series has tracked yet. Following the planning from devlog #61, the shared play/bot/sync overhaul landed, capsule rendering got meaningfully faster, and CHASER's visualizer set is finally complete and packing into its full world. Also cleaned house on the repo itself.

—The Great Suffering—

1 — 7.0.0, Shipping Now

Out the door as this devlog's being written. The rework planned since devlog #61 is real and deploying.

2 — Shared Play, Bot, And Sync, Overhauled

Full overhaul across shared play, the Discord bot, and anything sync-related between them. Direct continuation of the work from devlog #63's detour-interrupted session, finally landed properly this round.

3 — Mac Finally Gets LTS

Following the LTS-only Mac policy from devlog #32 and the 7.0.0 promise from devlog #61, Mac is actually getting this release. No more waiting on the sidelines for this one.

4 — Capsules Move To GPU-Reliant Rendering

Capsule rendering now leans on GPU acceleration for real speed gains, following the DSP and 3D worlds work from devlogs #48-#49 that already pushed rendering demands higher.

5 — GIRL HELL 1999, Finished

Last visualizer from devlog #65's in-progress list is done. All six CHASER songs now have finished visualizers.

6 — CHASER Is Packing

With every visualizer complete, the full CHASER world is in the process of packing into its final form. Closest it's been to actually shipping since the project started back in devlog #52.

7 — Legacy Removed From Git

Cleaned house, stripped legacy code out of the repo entirely to cut bloat and keep the project lighter going forward.

v1 in WinForms with a hope and a dream to v7 in Avalonia with an actual roadmap, genuinely wild looking back

—FAQ (no one asked these but they are here)—

Q: What is a "progger"?
A: A human programmer. You. The one who just shipped a WinForms-to-Avalonia, v1-to-v7 arc in one devlog series.

Q: Is Mac really getting this one?
A: Yes, this is the LTS release Mac's been waiting on.

Q: Is CHASER fully released now?
A: Visualizers are complete and the world's packing, getting very close but not confirmed shipped yet in this devlog.

Q: What changed in the shared play/bot overhaul specifically?
A: Broad rework across all of shared play, the bot, and sync behavior between them, following up directly from the interrupted work in devlog #63.

Q: Why GPU-reliant rendering now?
A: Capsule demands have grown with DSP and 3D world features, GPU rendering is the speed answer to that.

—This is the end*—

*end for now, GPU pipelines permitting

PLAQUE!!!
