—Hello again proggers—
Started the round working on the shared play upgrade and refinement from devlog #61's plan. It was actually going well, genuinely good progress, and then got completely sidetracked and made an ad instead. Ten hours, well spent. Lol.
"i'll just quickly" is the most dangerous sentence in this whole devlog series
Cat or dog? git stash (for the shared play work, apparently)
Okay let's get into it~
—Yap—
Real progress on shared play early on, then a full derailment into making an ad instead. Not mad about it, ten hours on an ad is still ten hours well spent, just not the ten hours that were planned.
—The Great Suffering—
1 — Shared Play Upgrade, Off To A Good Start
Actually got into the third rework planned back in devlog #61 — making shared play and Streamer Queue look nice with OG tags and Twitter cards. Started coming together well before the detour happened.
2 — Got Completely Sidetracked, Made An Ad Instead
Somewhere in the middle of that, pivoted entirely into making an ad instead. Ten hours spent on something that wasn't on the roadmap at all. No regrets, honestly.
the roadmap said "shared play polish," reality said "ad time"
—FAQ (no one asked these but they are here)—
Q: What is a "progger"?
A: A human programmer. You. The one who opened the editor for shared play and closed it ten hours later having made an ad.
Q: Is the shared play upgrade still on track?
A: Yes, what got done before the detour was solid, just picking back up from there.
Q: What's the ad for?
A: Not detailed here, just that it happened and ate the whole session.
Q: Is this the same rework mentioned in devlog #61?
A: Same one, OG tags and Twitter cards included.
Q: Any regrets about the detour?
A: None stated. Ten hours well spent, per this devlog.
—This is the end*—
*end for now, roadmap detours permitting
