—Hello again proggers—

Google please fix Google Drawings. Made the first proper batch of interface images and actually put them into the game. Dialogue, phone, message bubbles, buttons, notes, the works. New UI looks coolio. Also gave the rhythm sections normal keybinds, because ASKL had its time.

drawing the buttons and wiring up the buttons, somehow still two separate jobs

Cat or dog? arrows / WASD

Okay let's get into it~

—Yap—

Following devlog #5's playable story flow, this round gives it a proper visual interface. The archive action is shared now, conversations and rhythm sections use the new images, and the controls match the directional notes.

—The Great Suffering—

1 — One Shared Archive Action

The story screen opens the collected-file archive through a shared action. A small connection, but it belongs with the rest of the story interface instead of being its own special case.

2 — The First Interface Image Set

Added dialogue boxes, the phone, message bubbles, buttons, rhythm notes, and the other screen elements. Google Drawings was involved. That is the review.

3 — The Images Are Actually In The Game

Connected that image set to the conversations and rhythm sections. Having the assets in a folder is nice; having the game use them is better.

4 — Normal Rhythm Controls

Switched the rhythm controls from ASKL to arrow keys or WASD, with directional note images to match. Considerably easier to explain what the player is meant to press.

—FAQ (no one asked these but they are here)—

A: A human programmer. You. The one currently negotiating with Google Drawings.

Q: Are the new images only mockups?
A: No, they're connected to the conversation and rhythm screens.

Q: Which keys does the rhythm game use now?
A: Arrow keys or WASD, with matching directional notes.

—This is the end*—

*end for now, Google Drawings permitting
